Founded in 2021, the eponymous Los Angeles label redefines modern whimsy through a lens of romantic utilitarianism. Sewing since age six, Mae’s perspective was shaped by an off-grid upbringing in rural Colorado, where she learned construction through her mother’s quilt-making. This early immersion in craft led her to RISD to earn a BFA in Apparel Design with a concentration in Nature, Culture, and Sustainability Studies; a dual focus that remains the heartbeat of her "earth-first" philosophy.
After a high-fashion pattern-making apprenticeship and time spent in editorial styling and bespoke tailoring, Mae launched her grassroots brand with a focus on ethereal silhouettes and conscious craftsmanship. Today, she remains at the center of the construction process, hand-drafting the majority of patterns and sewing samples in-house to ensure each garment is created with intentionality and care.
At the core of the brand is a reverence for the Earth. Prioritizing small-batch production from deadstock and natural fibers, the studio utilizes dyes derived from rust, botanical roots, and food waste. Each garment is a "wearable offering" intended to be treasured for a lifetime, proving that high fashion can exist in peaceful, sustainable harmony with the environment.
